Hyatt Regency Étoile, Paris’s definitive skyscraper hotel

15 January 2019

With a short romantic break coming up, I decided to take my girlfriend to spend a few days in the capital of love. Paris is one of the world’s most visited cities, with a simply vast range of accommodation to choose from. My girlfriend and I spent several hours beforehand searching for an offer that matched what we wanted: a centrally-located, modern hotel that, above all, had to be located near a Metro station.

We opted for Paris’s four-star Hyatt Regency Étoile four-start hotel, which is located midway between the La Défense business district and the Arc de Triomphe. The property is also less than ten minutes’ walk from the Porte Maillot Metro station, with a selection of shops and restaurants to enjoy in the area surrounding the hotel.

The Hyatt Regency Étoile has 995 rooms, some of which offer views over the Eiffel tower. When booking, you can select your room based on a number of criteria, such as a room on a high floor with a king size bed and views over the Eiffel Tower, etc.

You also enjoy 24-hour-a-day room service, panoramic views from the Windo bar on the 34th floor of the property and a restaurant within the hotel’s reception area, the MAYO, which offers a seasonal menu prepare with local produce.

A room with a view over the Eiffel Tower

In our case, I wanted to surprise my partner with a room with views over the capital and, above all, with views of Paris’s most iconic monument of all, the Eiffel Tower.

Our room was located on the fourteenth floor, making it a perfect love nest for us both. The room was very well furnished, and here are some photos.

The staff members at the hotel were all very friendly, and even when we left the room at midday, they took the time to provide housekeeping.

Windo, the bar with panoramic views over the Eiffel Tower

Windo is located on the hotel’s 34th floor and features panoramic views over the French capital. It offers a selection of cocktails and appetizers for you to enjoy, and you should take advantage at least once during your stay. The bar is also open to non-residents of the hotel.

In conclusion, the Hyatt Regency Étoile is a luxurious, Parisian property that offers excellent value for money with staff who pay close attention to their guests’ needs.
